Mackenzie recently graduated from the unique combined Bachelor of Arts and LLB program offered through Wilfrid Laurier University in Brantford and the University of Sussex in Brighton, England in 2024. While at the University of Sussex, Mackenzie was able to achieve a first-class degree classification.
While in university Mackenzie partook in Mock Trials, was a semi-finalist for the University of Sussex Moot Competition, and volunteered at the University of Sussex Law Clinic, providing free legal advice under the supervision of esteemed lawyers and retired judges. In addition to her furthering her education through legal extracurriculars, Mackenzie also worked towards earning her belts in kickboxing.
During her summers in England, Mackenzie clerked and scribed for judges in Brighton and Hastings. Doing so has given her a unique perspective on matters which she brings to her articles.
Mackenzie hopes to be called to the bar in 2025 upon finishing her articling. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Middlesex Law Association, and Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
Outside of law, Mackenzie is interested in literature, and enjoys engaging in creative projects and activities.
