Ride Slower and Take Bike Paths When Possible

Spring days can be wet and rainy so it is always best to cycle slowly, brake early and be extra cautious around slippery hazards such as railway crossings and painted road lines.

When cycling in rush hour consider varying your route to use the bike paths along the Thames Valley Parkway (TVP) in London. The TVP connects many parts of London and is often a safer route to take than the roads during rush hour.

Wear Reflective Gear

Cyclists are required by the law to have lights on both the front and back of their bicycles. In addition to this, cyclists should also wear reflective clothing such as a high visibility vest in wet and rainy spring conditions. If you don’t have a high visibility vest, it can be bought cheaply online or at stores like Marks.

Even adults in difficult phases of their lives, such as martial breakdown or a health crisis, can be vulnerable to abuse.
